Remove class from tasks

Remove class from tasks so any pilot class can fly task and manage scoring using multiplier on pilot class. So, for example, a beginner class gets 3x points in the league for a task and a gun pilot gets 1x points in the league.

Brian, this is an option that I would like to try at WGC, at least until we get critical mass on the league table. One reason is that sometimes the task itself is only part of the challenge . . . there's all the preparation with learning to use the software, loading the right turnpoint list, entering the task, getting the start/turn/finish zones correct, etc. Then possibly flying away from known lift for the sake of touching a turnpoint . . . . these skills can all be practised just as well on a short task as a longer one.
The second reason is that shorter tasks can be useful to encourage pilots to fully explore a flying site. It's really easy to always follow the strong energy lines, but this doesn't develop flying ability. So some tasks could be short but difficult - either because of limited landout options, headwinds, weak lift or long glides with no lift. Still, they are worth doing to develop flying skill.
Third reason is that while pilots are pretty consistent in their ability . . . a task will vary greatly in difficulty from one day to the next.
Anyway, worth exploring to see if the theory works out in practice.
Cheers
Martyn
